Operations Internship
As a Distribution Center intern with Walgreens, you will spend 12 weeks gaining hands-on experience in each department and process that impacts our distribution channels.
You will spend time on the Distribution Center floor with team members, team leaders and management, learning to do the jobs involved in each step. Attend daily meetings, team-member orientation and shadow members of the human resources team. Analyze quality, cost, delivery, safety and environmental issues. Your internship will take you through the following areas and allow you to share your learning with us during a three-week project assignment:

Human Resource Internship
This internship is more than a summer job: it can be the first step in a great career in Human Resources with the Walgreen company. The internship is designed for HR students who would like to spend the summer in a hands-on working environment. As a paid intern, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of HR areas including recruitment, benefits, training, safety, employee relations and more.
- Spending time on the Distribution Center floor with Team Members and Management, learning to do the jobs involved in each step
- Attending daily meetings and team-member involvement sessions
- Participating in training sessions and recruiting efforts
- Shadowing members of the Human Resources team and getting involved with Employee Relations
- Integrating all you see, hear, and experience as well as contribute to the success of the HR team through project work

As you contribute to our Human Resources objectives every day, the HR Manager will mentor you. Ultimately, each area that you work with will take full responsibility for making sure you are fully involved and satisfied during your internship experience.
Our internship program is an excellent way for us to get to know you - and for you to get to know us as well as gain valuable insight to Human Resources within Walgreens distribution division. This internship provides the opportunity to work and learn in a team environment with experienced HR professionals in support of Walgreens mission and values.
